A1 Telekom Austria put its Next Generation Data Center in Floridsdorf, Vienna's 21st district, and opened it in December 2018, seventeen months after breaking ground and at a cost of 40 million euros. ATP architekten ingenieure designed it in BIM as a single monolithic block on an L-shaped corner plot, split into a plant level and an IT area under separate security zones and shielded as a Faraday cage. Colocation is sold from it as Server Housing. Phase 1 carries a Tier III award covering its design documents, registered by A1 as A1 DC XXI and standing as the only Austrian entry in the institute's list; no constructed-facility certification has followed it. A1 runs fourteen data centres in Austria, one in each provincial capital, states EN 50600 conformity across them, and quotes availability of 99.982 per cent at a PUE of 1.4 or better.
