The data centre approved on Donore Road at the Drogheda IDA Business & Technology Park stands in County Meath, on the southern side of Drogheda. An Bord Pleanála granted permission with revised conditions on 14 April 2022 under case PL17.310729, after An Taisce appealed Meath County Council's decision on application 21663 in July 2021. What was consented is a two-storey data storage facility: data halls, electrical and mechanical plant rooms, a loading bay, maintenance and storage areas and office administration, supported by an environmental impact assessment report. The application stands in the name of Tunis Properties LLC, the vehicle carrying Amazon's Drogheda project. Neither a floor area nor a connection size appears in the grant. Other parties have since brought forward two more data centres in the same business park.
