340 Cumberland Avenue is the carrier hotel for northern New England: a nine-storey, 52,272 sq ft downtown building that CENTRA Digital owns outright and that houses NNENIX, the region's peering exchange. Sixteen networks connect here, among them Verizon, Windstream, Charter Spectrum, FirstLight, Consolidated Communications, GoNetspeed, Crown Castle and the University of Maine System. CENTRA sells from single cabinets up to dedicated suites and private floors, with 2N power, N+1 cooling and 400 VAC available; critical capacity is given as 1 MW against up to 2.5 MVA of utility on diverse substations, with a stated path to 5 MW. Multiple diverse fibre entries reach a meet-me room CENTRA runs itself, which is what makes it the only carrier-neutral interconnection facility in the state. Deep Edge Realty bought the building from Northland Enterprises in February 2022 and later rebranded as CENTRA, keeping Northland on as property manager.
