Colocation Northwest – Downtown Seattle
2001 6th Ave, Seattle, WA, 98121, US
Two suites on two floors of Seattle's carrier hotel are what Colocation Northwest actually holds: it is a tenant of the Westin Building, 2001 Sixth Avenue, half-owned by Digital Realty. Its own footprint in Seattle is small: two suites of 2,000 sq ft each, WESTIN 20 on a high-rise slab floor and WESTIN 7 on anti-static tile, 4,000 sq ft between them. Each is rated at 125 kW, backed by an 80 kW UPS with ten minutes of battery in WESTIN 20 and a 144 kW UPS with twelve minutes in WESTIN 7, with 30 and 40 tons of up-flow underfloor cooling respectively. Seattle City Light feeds the building from buried substations and the Westin's own N+1 diesel generators sit behind the operator's UPS. Cabinets take up to 10 kW. What the address buys is reach: AT&T, Lumen, Cogent, Frontier, Integra Telecom, IsoFusion, Spectrum Networks, TW Telecom and Zayo are named on-net alongside the Seattle Internet Exchange, and cross connects run through the Westin's copper and fibre meet-me rooms to more than 250 networks. Of the operator's four Seattle-area locations, this is the one in the carrier hotel itself.
