Consolidated Des Moines
400 Locust Street, Des Moines, IA, 50309, US
Five hundred square feet on the ground floor of Capital Square, an eight-storey Class A office tower at 400 Locust Street in downtown Des Moines, is what Fidium actually holds here - Suite 190, raised floor with sub-floor cooling, sited outside the downtown flood plain. Enventis opened it in November 2012, the site passed to Consolidated Communications with that acquisition in 2014, and it took the Fidium brand when Consolidated renamed itself on 22 September 2025, nine months after Searchlight Capital Partners and British Columbia Investment Management took the company private for $3.1 billion at $4.70 a share on 27 December 2024. The distinguishing asset is electrical rather than spatial: three redundant transformers, each on its own substation feed, plus switchable utility backup to a second substation and a 65 kVA generator carrying the HVAC and fire suppression. A full 45U secured cabinet or a lockable 22U half rack comes with a redundant 110-volt 20-amp circuit, with other power arrangements on request. Fidium certifies its Fargo, Manchester and Laconia sites and does not extend those SOC reports to Des Moines.
