Mineral Gap Data Center, operated by DP Facilities at 5978 Windswept Blvd in Wise, Virginia, is a carrier-neutral retail colocation facility and Virginia's first purpose-designed and constructed Uptime Institute Tier III data center, opened in 2015. The roughly 22-acre campus provides about 65,000 square feet of space, expandable to more than 200,000, with up to 45 MW of low-cost utility power plus an adjacent solar array and N+2 power and cooling redundancy at an estimated PUE of 1.2. It offers suites, cages, and private cabinets with cross-connects to diverse fiber providers and the Velocity Network. Certifications span NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, HIPAA, HITRUST CSF, SSAE 16 SOC 1 and SOC 2, and PCI DSS. Hardened security includes armed 24/7 staffing, biometric access, and K-rated anti-terrorism fencing.
