Meta Temple – Building 1
3101 Industrial Blvd, Temple, TX, 76502, US
Two of the three structures Meta built at Eberhardt Road and Industrial Boulevard in Temple are data centres; the third is administrative. The campus went live on 22 July 2026 with more than 760,000 sq ft across the pair, heading for roughly 900,000 sq ft at full build-out on a 393-acre site in Bell County. Announced on 31 March 2022 at $800 million, it was redesigned mid-build for AI workloads and had cost more than $1.2 billion by the time it opened. The campus is rated at 152 MW, and its construction scope included about 25 miles of underground conduit and 750 prefabricated multi-trade racks; no per-building split has been published. Cooling is dry, using outside air for at least half the year, which Meta puts at 80% better on water efficiency than an average data centre. Peak construction employment ran to about 1,200 and roughly 100 permanent roles remain.
