JB2 is a 2,500 sq ft suite on Level 6 of Menara Ansar, a 21-storey commercial office tower at 65 Jalan Trus in central Johor Bahru - a room rather than a building, and nothing like the hyperscale campuses going up at Sedenak and Kulai. Open DC publishes 300 kW for it, air cooled, with rack, cage and partition-suite arrangements. Its value is cross-border: two internet exchanges land here, DE-CIX Malaysia, whose node in this building is the second JBIX deployment in the city, and DE-CIX ASEAN, and Open DC publishes dark fibre to the Main Causeway plus DWDM and Metro Ethernet circuits to Equinix SG1 and Global Switch in Singapore. Dark fibre also runs the two kilometres to JB1 at Menara MSC Cyberport, the larger, telco-rich sibling that carries the first JBIX node. Five networks are recorded at the facility. Menara Ansar itself was sold by Kulim (M) Bhd for RM105 million in March 2010, on 9,739 sq m of freehold land at 92 per cent occupancy, and its other tenants are ordinary offices. ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and PCI DSS compliance are claimed for the facility without certificate numbers or issuing bodies.
