Taylor City Council approved the 220-acre Comal scheme at 1051 County Road 401 unanimously on 26 March 2026 and annexed the land the following day. As approved it runs to six data centre buildings and two substations behind 360 MW, supplied by Oncor, over a construction programme of about three and a half years with up to 3,000 workers on site at peak. KDC Real Estate is the developer and no operator or end tenant has been announced; per-building floor areas are unpublished. The ground adjoins Samsung's Taylor semiconductor fab in Williamson County, which is due to come online in 2026.
