Thirty QBx computing units make up the first phase of Qarnot Computing's Italian site, run as a tenant inside A2A's Lamarmora plant in Brescia. Inaugurated on 25 June 2025, it is direct-liquid-cooled and plumbed into the city's district heating network, delivering about 800 MWh of heat a year at 65 °C, rising to 16 GWh once phase two fills the plant's former coal store. That is hot water for roughly 1,350 apartments and 3,500 tonnes of CO2 avoided annually.
