KDDI anchors its western-Japan network at Telehouse Osaka, in Shiromi, Chuo-ku, close to Osaka Business Park. Thirteen networks and four carriers are registered in the building and JPIX Osaka is the exchange on the floor, which is the interconnection point that makes the site worth taking for traffic that should not detour through Tokyo. KDDI opened an AWS Direct Connect location here on 16 December 2024, giving a private path into AWS without leaving Kansai. The second Osaka building entered service in August 2015 and the pair are operated as one facility. KDDI publishes neither floor area nor capacity for the site.
