A 1919 powerhouse is doing the work at Hellandsbygd: Terakraft bought the decommissioned Sauda I hydroelectric station at Handelandsvegen 140, outside Sauda in Rogaland, in 2021 and has been converting its reinforced concrete halls into a liquid-cooled GPU site. Ten megawatts run live, with up to 60 MW more available nearby, drawn directly from the neighbouring hydro station on a local substation rated at 1,000 MW. Cooling water comes from the lake and the operator states a PUE below 1.1. Vesper Next Generation Infrastructure Fund I agreed in August 2025 to take majority ownership.
