Vantage CA1 – Building 3
2880 Northwestern Pkwy, Santa Clara, CA, 95051, US
CA13 is the 6 MW building that opened first on Vantage's Santa Clara I campus, launched in February 2011 as a retrofit of an existing Intel building rather than a ground-up build, with every square foot leased at launch. It holds 60,000 sq ft of data center space, 40,000 sq ft of it on a 30-inch raised floor at opening, designed at 150 W per sq ft, and by 2012 it housed four tenants including Mozilla. CA13 carries its own LEED Platinum certification, and in its first year it ran at a PUE of 1.20 on fresh-air economization and 1.29 on chillers. The building also holds conference rooms, private offices, training space and showers for customer staff. With 6 MW provisioned from Silicon Valley Power on a campus of 77 MW, CA13 is a multi-tenant building, so a buyer here takes cabinets or a hall rather than a dedicated shell.
