Vantage CA1 – Santa Clara I Campus
2897-2820 Northwestern Pkwy / 2623-2565 Walsh Ave, Santa Clara, CA, 95051, US
Vantage's Santa Clara I campus covers 21 acres of the former Intel property at 2820 Northwestern Parkway, where six multi-storey buildings carry 77 MW of critical IT load across more than 335,000 sq ft of data center space, fed by three dedicated 50 MW substations on Silicon Valley Power. The first building opened with 6 MW in February 2011 and the sixth, a two-floor 9 MW building, was delivered in October 2017. The U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Platinum rating covers the campus as a whole. Cooling differs by building between chilled-water loops, outside-air economization and rear-door chilled water for 35 kW racks, with reclaimed gray water in the plant, and redundancy is sold at N, N+1 or 2N depending on the hall. Four fiber points of entry feed meet-me rooms in every building, and four networks are present across the campus. Buyers take halls or whole buildings here, with CA11 through CA16 each carrying its own capacity rating.
