CA21 is the first of three four-storey buildings on Vantage's Santa Clara II campus at 737 Mathew Street, a 21 MW building of 175,000 sq ft on which construction began in May 2018 and which opened in 2019. It is fully owned by Vantage SDC, the stabilized-asset vehicle Vantage formed with Colony Capital in July 2020 for buildings that are fully constructed with stable tenancy, while Vantage continues to operate it. It sits next to CA22 on the 9-acre site and draws on the campus's three on-site 50 MW transformers at 415/240 V with N+1 redundancy, with closed-loop chilled water and water-side economizers in the plant. On a campus rated 75 MW, CA21 carries 21 MW against 24 MW at CA22 and 32 MW at CA23. Space in this building turns over as leases within an operating, stabilized building rather than as new halls.
