Vantage CA3 – Santa Clara III
2590 Walsh Ave, Santa Clara, CA, 95051, US
Vantage's Santa Clara III (CA3) is a planned single four-storey building at 2590 Walsh Avenue, within two miles of the CA1 and CA2 campuses, rated at 64 MW of critical IT load across 486,000 sq ft on an 8-acre site, a 6.7-acre parcel in the purchase record. Vantage bought the parcel for $40 million in February 2021, filed permits in December 2021 for a 469,467 sq ft building with eight data halls, and in December 2022 secured a $350 million Societe Generale loan against the site, the last dated step in the project. The design carries N+1 electrical and N+2 mechanical redundancy, 400 V distribution, air-cooled chillers on a closed loop with air-side economizers, and CRAH galleries flanking each data module. Two meet-me rooms and four fiber entry points are planned. On completion CA3 takes Vantage's Silicon Valley total to 216 MW, and it is the one site of the three where a buyer can still take an entire building.
