Yandex built its Sasovo data centre into part of the former Sasta machine-tool works in the Ryazan Oblast town of Sasovo, and commissioned it under a permit from the Priokskoe directorate of Rostechnadzor. The operating company is OOO Yandex DC; the parent is MKPAO Yandex, the Russian entity left when Yandex N.V. sold the business in July 2024. Around RUB 700m is going into reconstruction, and a further cluster entered design and build in October 2024. Yandex laid dedicated fibre from the town to Moscow. It has never published a capacity figure for the site.
