Shaoyang's economic development zone, in south-western Hunan, holds the computing centre that Zhonglian Data Group built there under the name 中联数据湖南算力中心. Its first building entered service on 29 September 2024, and two phases are planned around 2,400 high-density racks with more than RMB 500 million of investment behind them. The customers are government bodies and enterprises in Shaoyang and the surrounding prefecture. Floor area, power and street address go unpublished, and the five-star label attached to it is a Chinese domestic rating, not a certification.
