Two adjacent addresses on Wan Po Road carry two different iAdvantage buildings, and MEGA IDC is the one at 297; MEGA Plus, next door at 299, is a separate building with its own network footprint. MEGA IDC is the larger by a wide margin - about 1.2 million sq ft of gross floor area and more than 180 MW of IT load at full build, on the Tseung Kwan O cluster SUNeVision has assembled over two decades. Phase One opened in the first half of 2024 with roughly 500,000 sq ft and 50 MW, and stood at about 30 per cent occupied in July 2026, with one new committed deployment expected to lift it near 70 per cent by the end of that year. Phase Two was initiated on 27 March 2025, adding some 350,000 sq ft for completion in 2026 or 2027. Dark fibre links the building to MEGA-i, MEGA Two and MEGA Gateway.

Frequently asked questions

Which building stands at 297 Wan Po Road?
MEGA IDC. MEGA Plus occupies 299 Wan Po Road next door and is a separate building with its own network footprint, so a link between the two is an inter-building cross-connect rather than an in-building one.
How much capacity will MEGA IDC hold at full build?
Approximately 1.2 million sq ft of gross floor area and more than 180 MW of IT load. Phase One delivered about 500,000 sq ft and 50 MW.
Which certifications are attested across the MEGA campus?
iAdvantage's accreditation page names LEED Gold for MEGA Plus, BEAM Plus Existing Buildings Excellent for MEGA-i, MEGA Plus and MEGA Two, and ANSI/TIA-942 Rated-4 for the HKIS-1 cable landing station. MEGA IDC itself falls under none of those scopes.
When did Phase Two start?
Ground was broken on 27 March 2025 for roughly 350,000 sq ft more, scheduled to complete in 2026 or 2027.
