CyrusOne NVA8 – Sterling
45905 Maries Road, Sterling, VA, 20166, US
NVA8 is a 154,230 sq ft data center in Sterling, Loudoun County, half a mile from CyrusOne's Pacific Boulevard campus and seven miles from Dulles airport, with 100,341 sq ft of raised white floor and 24 MW of IT capacity in this building. CyrusOne bought the land and newly built powered shell in July 2018, sizing the site at 33 MW at full build-out, and brought the first phase into service in the first quarter of 2019. The mechanical plant is a 10,000-ton air-cooled chiller plant and 225-ton CRAH units, both at N+2, in a zero-water closed-loop design. Data halls carry VESDA detection and double-interlock pre-action sprinklers, behind anti-scale fencing, electronic gates, biometric and photo-badge access and 24x7 monitored CCTV, with entry through the security office. The gap between 24 MW built and the 33 MW site ceiling leaves room for a hall-scale expansion, and a buyer can take cabinets, a hall or the remaining shell here.
