Power capacity
1 MW

United Networks of Ukraine commissioned this hall in 2013 at 3 Solomianska Street in Kyiv, twelve years after the company began trading as a telecommunications operator and ten after it built its first data centre at Leontovycha 9. Two independent utility feeds of 1 MW each land in the building, backed by two diesel generators and Emerson Liebert APM uninterruptible power; each cabinet is fed twice for up to 7 kW, cooling is 2N with free cooling, and fire suppression is Hygood FM-200. The operator states 99.982 per cent availability on its engineering systems. Traffic arrives through two diverse optical entries; UA-IX and DTEL-IX are both on-net, and optical trunks run to the Leontovycha 9 and G50 carrier hotels, which are the two densest interconnection addresses in the city. The Tier III and TIA-942 language the operator uses describes its design intent; no certificate has been issued against either, and the Uptime Institute has made no award in Ukraine.

Frequently asked questions

How much power does a cabinet take at United DC?
Up to 7 kW, delivered over two separate feeds to the rack, against two independent 1 MW utility supplies into the building.
Which exchanges are on-net at 3 Solomianska Street?
UA-IX and DTEL-IX, with optical trunks running to the Leontovycha 9 and G50 carrier hotels.
When was the Solomianska Street hall commissioned?
2013, as the company's second data centre. The first opened in 2003 at Leontovycha 9, two years after the operator started in telecommunications.
Which certifications are attested for United DC in Kyiv?
The operator's references to TIER-III and to TIA-942 norms describe design intent rather than an issued certificate, and the Uptime Institute's register contains no Ukrainian entry at all.
