United DC2
Solomianska St, 3, Kiev, 03191, UA
United Networks of Ukraine commissioned this hall in 2013 at 3 Solomianska Street in Kyiv, twelve years after the company began trading as a telecommunications operator and ten after it built its first data centre at Leontovycha 9. Two independent utility feeds of 1 MW each land in the building, backed by two diesel generators and Emerson Liebert APM uninterruptible power; each cabinet is fed twice for up to 7 kW, cooling is 2N with free cooling, and fire suppression is Hygood FM-200. The operator states 99.982 per cent availability on its engineering systems. Traffic arrives through two diverse optical entries; UA-IX and DTEL-IX are both on-net, and optical trunks run to the Leontovycha 9 and G50 carrier hotels, which are the two densest interconnection addresses in the city. The Tier III and TIA-942 language the operator uses describes its design intent; no certificate has been issued against either, and the Uptime Institute has made no award in Ukraine.
