QTS Hillsboro 1 DC1 at 4951 NE Huffman Street is a 158,000 sq ft data center with 85,000 sq ft of leasable floor and 24 MW of gross power, 20 MW of it critical, on QTS's 25-acre Hillsboro 1 site. Its first 4.5 MW hall opened in October 2020 fully leased to a cloud software provider. Power arrives over redundant feeds from diverse transformers at an expandable substation next door, generators carry 48 hours of fuel, and cooling is indirect air-side economization that never brings outside air onto the floor. MOX colocated here in September 2021 with dark fiber on a new Hillsboro to Portland route, and 11 networks and one exchange are present in the building. Loading docks, leasable offices and flexible workspace are in the building, and halls, cages and cabinets are sold.
