About VSIX
VSIX was established in 2009 by the University of Padua, which runs it directly and also owns the two Padua data centres it occupies. 74 networks connect. Membership costs EUR 125 a month on top of the port, and the tariff in force from 1 January 2026 runs EUR 100 a month for 100 Mbps on a 1GE port, EUR 250 at 1 Gbps, EUR 500 at 10 Gbps, EUR 1,000 at 25 Gbps, EUR 1,500 at 40 Gbps and EUR 2,000 at 100 Gbps, VAT excluded; a redundancy port is EUR 100. Two route servers on AS35836 drop RPKI-invalid routes and filter the rest against registry objects. Sixteen or more authorised carriers can deliver the fibre.
