Apple's Reno campus opened in December 2012 as the first data centre at the Reno Technology Park, in Washoe County, and has since grown to four buildings and a substation of its own across 1,700 acres. Apple runs the site for its own services and gives none of the buildings a public name. On 6 August 2024 Nevada's Governor's Office of Economic Development approved $62,153,275 of abatements for the next expansion, set against $992,071,428 of capital equipment Apple expects to install over ten years.
