CleanSpark's third bitcoin mining facility sits at Washington, in Wilkes County, between Augusta and Athens in eastern Georgia. The company paid $25.1m for it in August 2022, taking on a 36 MW campus that already had infrastructure and machines in place. A second phase broke ground on 19 January 2023 and about $55m later brought the site to 86 MW; it went live on 13 July 2023 and pushed CleanSpark past 8 EH/s. Mining is still what the site does - the twenty-year infrastructure lease signed in July 2026 covers Sandersville, some 30 miles away, and no equivalent conversion has been announced here.
