SV8 is a ground-up CoreSite build at 3035 Stender Way, completed in phases through June 2020 and carrying 161,000-plus square feet against an 18 MW critical IT load - the only Santa Clara building besides SV9 for which CoreSite publishes a megawatt figure. Silicon Valley Power is taken at 12kV. The electrical topology is distributed-redundant across UPS, PDU and RPP with N+1 generators and 24 hours of stored fuel, and the cooling plant is variable-speed with water-side heat exchange; liquid cooling is offered. It was purpose-built to extend the campus fabric rather than stand alone, with high-count fiber to SV4 and diverse metro paths back to SV1.
