NY2 opened in March 2014 as CoreSite's first purpose-built New York metro facility, sited above the 500-year flood plain in Secaucus with 256,000-plus square feet across the campus it now shares with NY3. Utility power arrives on two diverse feeds at 26kV, behind a four-to-make-three distributed-redundant UPS, 2N PDU and RPP distribution, and N+1 generators holding 24 hours of fuel. The mechanical plant is N+1 through chillers, cooling towers, CRAHs and chilled-water pumps, all concurrently maintainable, with evaporative condensing for economization and liquid cooling available for high-density cabinets. Thirty networks and three exchanges are on-net, including DE-CIX New York. For Manhattan workloads that need scale and floodplain separation rather than carrier-hotel adjacency, this is the building.
