EdgeConneX Detroit – EDCDET01
21005 Lahser Rd, Bldg 4, Southfield, MI, 48033, US
DET01 occupies Building 4 at 21005 Lahser Road in Southfield, a 39,900 sq ft facility with 9,930 sq ft of raised floor and 3 MW of N+1 critical power, 18 miles from downtown Detroit. EdgeConneX announced the site with TelNet Worldwide as first tenant in July 2014 for a November 2014 opening, and in April 2017 the 123.Net-run Detroit Internet Exchange began peering here; DET-IX is still the one exchange in the building. The floor runs on a 30-inch underfloor plenum with N+1 CRACs split across separate suites, taking 20 kW cabinets without ghost space. 14 networks meet here, among them AT&T, Comcast, Lumen, Arelion, Cogent, Hurricane Electric, US Signal and Megaport. DET01 holds EPA ENERGY STAR certification and is audited for SOC 2 Type 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA and ISO 27001. A second 7 MW building, DET02, is planned on the same site. Cabinets, cages and suites are sold here with remote hands and customer work space.
