EdgeConneX Pittsburgh – EDCPIT01
282 Corliss St, Pittsburgh, PA, 15220, US
EdgeConneX PIT01 at 282 Corliss Street, three miles from downtown Pittsburgh, is a 14,174 sq ft facility with 4,556 sq ft of raised floor for tenant racks, and the first customer deployment inside it carried a 1.6 MW critical load. DQE Communications brought the first fiber into the building in March 2016, and the Pittsburgh Internet Exchange added a PIT-IX node here in September 2020, so five networks and one exchange now terminate in its diverse meet-me rooms, with Comcast, Cogent, Crown Castle, Lumen, Verizon and Windstream on the carrier list. Racks are engineered for 20 kW over a 30-inch underfloor plenum, with N+1 CRACs in separate suites and concurrently maintainable N+1 UPS and generators behind them. The Pittsburgh site carries SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS audits. Cabinets and small cages are what is sold on this floor.
