Equinix NY4 is the two-storey reinforced-concrete data center at 755 Secaucus Road, Secaucus, opened on 7 November 2007 as Equinix's fourth New York-area IBX, a $95M first phase of a building planned for 340,000 sq ft gross and 4,700 cabinets, Equinix's largest in the United States at that date. A global investment bank and ICAP took the first phase; an $82M second phase of 1,100 cabinets opened in May 2009 with ACTIV Financial and Direct Edge, and the final phase was open by May 2010. Equinix arranged 31 MW from PSE&G for the 2007 opening. Today it offers 151,771 sq ft of colocation at a 5 kVA minimum, N+1 UPS and generators with 30 hours or more of fuel, and N+1 cooling with free cooling and fuel cells. Oracle names NY4 as its New York FastConnect location, and AWS Direct Connect is accessible through NY5 on the same campus. Buyers take cabinets, private cages or Flex Space and cross-connect campus-wide.
