Equinix SV11 at 5 Great Oaks Boulevard, San Jose, is the newest and largest of the four Great Oaks IBXs: a $142M two-storey precast building opened in June 2021 as the first phase of a modular Flexible Data Center design, with 61,000+ sq ft and 1,450 cabinets at launch and 2,950 cabinets at full build. It is where Equinix first used Bloom Energy fuel cells as primary generation, keeping the utility grid and generators as backup, and it was designed to an average annual PUE of 1.17; LEED sits in its certification list. Today the floor lists 121,930 sq ft of colocation at a 5 kVA minimum, with N+2 cooling, decoupled dehumidification and the campus's only High-Density Cooling and 240V/415V distribution, and it is the one Great Oaks page that names AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute outright. Deployments here cross-connect on campus into SV1, SV5 and SV10, and reach further clouds through Equinix Fabric.
