Equinix SV12x
123 Great Oaks Blvd, San Jose, CA, 95119, US
Equinix SV12x is an xScale hyperscale building at 123 Great Oaks Boulevard in San Jose, built for cloud and hyperscale operators to place core deployments beside their IBX footprints, not sold as retail cabinets. It is the first xScale data center in the United States, held in a $600 million joint venture owned 80% by PGIM Real Estate and 20% by Equinix, and the only one of the three permitted Great Oaks South buildings that Equinix lists. The two-storey building offers 113,000 sq ft of colocation space inside a 182,350 sq ft permitted shell, with more than 28 MW of power at full build-out across two phases, the first scheduled for Q2 2024. Generators are N+1 with 30 hours of autonomy and cooling is N+2 with hot/cold aisle containment. It stands alongside the SV1, SV5, SV10 and SV11 IBXs, with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, Oracle and Alibaba on-ramps across the Silicon Valley metro.
