Google is proposing a $1 billion data centre at Franklin Furnace, in the Haverhill area of Scioto County on the Ohio River, and calls the scheme Project Dazzler - a name it uses on the public information site it runs for the project. About 500,000 sq ft of building is planned. The land and the permitting run through Tilted Gate LLC, a Google affiliate. Scioto County commissioners approved an incentive agreement in January 2026 and named Google as the company behind it; the Ohio EPA declared the wetlands permit application administratively complete that March and held a public testimony hearing in May 2026. Nothing has been built, and Google's operating Ohio sites are elsewhere in the state - New Albany, Lancaster and Columbus.
