Google Arcola Data Center 1
24400 Howling Rooster Ln, Sterling, VA, 20166, US
Northern Virginia took Google longer than most markets: it bought the Loudoun County land in 2017 and opened its first data centre in the state in 2019, on the Arcola side of the county under a Sterling postal address. A second Loudoun building followed, and an expansion of it was announced in 2021. Google also runs data centres in Prince William County, where a third opened in 2023, and has committed $9 billion to Virginia through 2026. It publishes no floor area or capacity figure for the Loudoun buildings.
