Colocation space
2,000
Power capacity
7.5 MW

One hundred and twenty networks reach Sameer Business Park, Block A on Mombasa Road, which makes NBO1 the densest interconnection point in Nairobi and in East Africa generally - icolo's Nairobi site carries 62, iXAfrica NBOX1 44 and PAIX 37. Four exchanges are on the floor: KIXP, LINX Nairobi, BGP.Exchange Nairobi and PLUGINS IX. Africa Data Centres, now a Cassava Technologies business, sells from 2,000 m2 of secured space spread over four floors and four data halls, with 7.5 MW of site capacity available. Cooling is deliberately water-free, with only non-potable water entering the plant, and solar generation sits on site alongside the Kenya Power supply. NBO1.1, NBO1.2 and NBO1.3 Phase 1 each hold a Tier III award against their design documents, issued with Liquid Telecom Group named as client of record; none has been followed by a constructed-facility certification. A parcel next door was secured to add up to 15 MW of IT load, ground broken on 19 January 2023.
