HTX2 is a new 565,000 sq ft building going up beside Serverfarm's existing Hockley data centre at 4801 Betka Road, in Harris County north-west of Houston. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing of March 2025 puts the project value at $137m with HKS as designer, on a construction window running from July 2025 to July 2026. The neighbouring HTX1 explains the site: 350,000 sq ft built by HP around 2006 during its data centre consolidation, later run by DXC Technology, and bought by Serverfarm in September 2024. Serverfarm publishes HTX1 at 670 MVA of utility capacity against 410 MW of line-of-sight IT capacity, in eight halls of 17,500 sq ft at 300 W to the square foot and a PUE of 1.35. The two Houston campuses cover 250 acres between them and both hold on-site substations with unused capacity.
