TYO2 was ComSpace I until May 2021, when Digital Edge bought five Japanese data centres from Arteria Networks Corporation for about US$230 million, or JPY 26 billion. The building sits in the Nihonbashi part of Chuo-ku, postcode 103-0012, roughly a kilometre from the Otemachi carrier cluster, and its facility record predates both owners: it was created in July 2010 and has been renamed since. Twenty-seven networks and two carriers are present, along with three Tokyo exchanges - JPIX Tokyo, BBIX Tokyo and JPNAP Tokyo. Sister site TYO7, at 7-1 Nihonbashi Kobunacho less than 300 metres away, opened on 24 September 2025 with 970 cabinets and 4.8 MW. The same 2021 deal brought ComSpace II into the portfolio as TYO3 in Shinjuku.
