44490 Chillum (ACC2)
44490 Chillum Place, Ashburn, VA, 20147, US
ACC2 at 44490 Chillum Place was the first data centre DuPont Fabros built in Ashburn, opened in 2001 and fully built out by 2005, and it is now part of Digital Realty's Ashburn Corporate Campus. It holds 53,397 sq ft of raised floor inside 87,000 sq ft and carries 10.4 MW of critical load. The electrical plant is unusual for the campus: ten rotary UPS engines of 1,800 ekW each backed by four separate standby generators of 1,820 ekW, with fuel distributed across fourteen 6,000-gallon tanks rather than concentrated in large underground stores. It is also the one ACC building that was never converted to reclaimed-water evaporative cooling. For a buyer this is the campus's oldest and smallest hall, on a distinctly different electrical design from its neighbours.
