QTS Ashburn-Lockridge DC2 at 44655 Quality Tech Lane in Sterling is the 36 MW second building on the Ashburn 2 campus, sited at the opposite end of the 24-acre infill lot from the 42 MW DC1 so the two share a central equipment yard. It was under construction through 2022 and into March 2023 while DC1's 42 MW was being commissioned next door. Both buildings are two-story, single-use data centers behind a flag-striped façade of metal panel and curtain wall, with an outdoor Freedom Park between them. The campus draws on an on-site expandable substation and a redundant fiber conduit system that delivers express fiber to each building; together the two buildings total 78 MW of critical load against the 75 MW campus figure. QTS has not published DC2's square footage or hall count. Buyers can take halls here or a full 36 MW building.
