Digital Fortress Downtown Seattle
3101 Western Ave, Seattle, WA, 98121, US
3101 Western Avenue, the former Airborne Express and Isilon building at the north edge of downtown Seattle, became a Digital Fortress data center in July 2012 after an 18,000 sq ft raised-floor lease announced that March. The floor now carries up to 6 MW of critical load at up to 10 kW per rack, fed at 120 V through 480 V three-phase, with N+1 backup power across the critical systems and 96 percent of the energy drawn from hydro. Underfloor leak and smoke detection sit beneath the raised floor, the structure is built to Seismic Zone 3, and the roof carries antenna rights. Dark fiber runs directly to the Westin Building Exchange and to the Seattle Internet Exchange, and eight networks are present on the floor itself. Turnkey racks are available immediately, alongside a full-size loading dock and rentable office space.
