KC2 in Shawnee is the engineered counterweight to Netrality's downtown Kansas City tower: 25-foot ceilings, 1,000 lbs per sq ft floor loading and cabinet densities from 1 to 50 kW, with liquid and immersion cooling offered for HPC and AI work the 1931 building cannot physically host. Cooling runs on waterless Delta Cube arrays with hot-aisle containment. Netrality bought the Energy Star-rated building in December 2021, financed in part by $56.2 million in Shawnee revenue bonds, and brought it online around May 2024. It carries almost no carrier ecosystem of its own by design — dark fibre ties it to 1102 Grand ten miles away at sub-millisecond round trip, exposing tenants to that building's network base.
