Bell's first AI Fabric site opened at Kamloops, British Columbia, in June 2025 with 7 MW of capacity running on Groq language processing units for inference work. Clean hydroelectricity supplies it. Bell announced the site on 28 May 2025 and built it with Thompson Rivers University, BCNET and the Government of British Columbia alongside Groq, running it as sovereign Canadian AI capacity rather than as a landlord. It is the first of six facilities in a programme Bell has sized at more than 500 MW.
