Cologix MIN1
511 11th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN, 55415, US
MIN1 is the carrier-facing suite of five Cologix facilities inside the 511 Building at 511 11th Avenue South, Minnesota's primary carrier hotel and the most connected address in the state. Its 9,500 square feet function as the building's telecom meet-me room rather than an enterprise hall, and the switch for the Midwest Internet Cooperative Exchange sits on site. MICE is one of the larger non-profit exchanges in the United States at roughly a hundred and fifty participants, and reaching it without a metro-fiber hop is the main reason to take space in this room. Power runs 2N on A and B UPS behind generators available in N or 2N, off redundant utility feeds from three separate grids, with one substation, two diverse transformers and a third standing by to restore A and B power. Cooling is an N+1 chilled-water plant with seven perimeter units on a raised-floor plenum, backed by a redundant on-site well.
