CyrusOne's Broadlands campus is a 57.6-acre parcel in the southeast quadrant of the Belmont Ridge Road and Dulles Greenway interchange at the edge of Broadlands, Loudoun County, three miles west of Ashburn's data center cluster, bought for $47 million in a deed recorded on 20 December 2022 and announced on 18 January 2023. Plans filed with the Army Corps of Engineers in summer 2022 show five two-story data center buildings on land already zoned for the use, which CyrusOne said lets development start without a rezoning. The site was once slated for a 165-bed hospital that was never built. CyrusOne has not set out a megawatt total, substation, square footage or opening date for the campus, and none of the five buildings yet has a dated permit or completion. It is CyrusOne's sixth Loudoun campus, and a buyer planning a hyperscale-sized hall or a whole building for delivery after 2026 can start here.
