GDC – Chicago CH2 Data Center
275 Pierce Rd, Itasca, IL, 60143, US
Chicago CH2 is the second of the two 36 MW buildings on NTT's Itasca campus at 275 Pierce Road, with 126,000 sq ft of IT space arranged as six 6 MW data halls. Its precast-concrete shell sits on a steel frame, with modular electrical enclosures fabricated off site and set in the yard, roof-mounted air-cooled chillers, and fan-coil wall cooling with hot-aisle containment fed by a dedicated closed-loop chiller plant. The building came online in 2023, four years after the Village of Itasca approved it in 2019, and in April 2026 it was one of two operating buildings on a campus approved for five and a planned 200 MW. Three fiber entry points and two carrier meet-me rooms serve the halls. Multifactor authentication runs throughout, backed by more than 100 real-time security feeds and a 24x7 in-house security and operations team. Buyers can take anything from cabinets to a full 6 MW hall.
