GDC – Chicago CH3 Data Center
255 Pierce Rd, Itasca, IL, 60143, US
Chicago CH3 is the 32 MW third building on NTT's Itasca campus on Pierce Road, under construction with completion scheduled for 2026. Its 112,000 sq ft data floor is split into four 8 MW vaults of 27,850 sq ft each, with power densities up to 22 kW per rack, five 2 MW UPS modules behind every 8 MW block and N+1 distributed redundancy per vault. Two primary 34.5 kV utility feeds, each rated 60 MVA, supply the building, and generators hold 24 hours of fuel at full load. Air-cooled chillers with airside economizers feed fan-coil walls with hot-aisle containment, the design NTT chose for AI and high-density computing on this campus. A dedicated ComEd-coordinated substation is going up alongside it. Three fiber entry points and two meet-me rooms are planned. Buyers can pre-lease an 8 MW vault or a private suite in this building.
