Meta Sarpy – Building 8
13210 Silicon Prairie Plz, Springfield, NE, 68059, US
Meta renamed this campus when it crossed the road. It opened in 2017 as the Papillion Data Center with two buildings; a 2021 expansion took it over Capehart Road into Springfield, at which point the company restyled it the Sarpy Data Center. The announced plan reached nine buildings and about four million sq ft on 28 July 2022, six of them operational at that date, which places the eighth among the last three to finish. Omaha Public Power District serves the site at the junction of Capehart Road and Nebraska Highway 50. The campus carries more than $2.5 billion of investment, over 300 permanent jobs and a peak trades workforce of 1,300, and cooling combines evaporative and closed-loop systems against roughly 26.7 million gallons of reported withdrawal. Nebraska ended ImagiNE Act tax incentives for data centres on 21 July 2026.
