Digital Realty's Old Ox Road frontage sits within Digital Dulles, the 425-acre campus the operator describes as the largest multi-tenant data centre campus in the world. The land came from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority in 2018 for $236.5 million; the programme has since grown from 7.5 million to 11.7 million sq ft across fourteen buildings, with full build-out planned at up to a gigawatt supported by six substations. The first building was delivered in 2023, and two further buildings plus the relocation and expansion of two substations were filed with the Army Corps of Engineers in January 2026. What sits here is hyperscale capacity, part operating and part under construction, rather than a single colocation hall.
