Bauxite II is the middle of three phases Rowan Digital Infrastructure holds in Frederick County, Maryland, and the largest of them by floor area: 822,620 sq ft, roughly 76,400 m2, on 111.5 acres. The county Planning Commission approved its site plan 6-0-0 on 18 December 2024, and the Maryland Department of the Environment cleared the phase's environmental management plan the following year. Delivery is being worked toward during 2026. The ground was the Alcoa Eastalco aluminium smelter, which is where the project name comes from - bauxite is the ore aluminium is refined from - and the master-planned site around it is now under Catellus management. Potomac Edison supplies the campus. Rowan gives acreage and floor area phase by phase but publishes no megawatt figure below the campus line, and has named no occupier for this one.
